Our beekeeping journey started in the most unexpected way. During a cycling event at a northern Ontario city, my wife and I noticed a few beehives tucked away on the grounds. We stopped to take a closer look — and were instantly fascinated. Something about watching the bees work so purposefully just clicked with us.

Not long after, we learned how essential honey bees are to our planet and to humanity’s survival. That realization inspired us to start our own little beekeeping adventure. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a heartfelt hobby rooted in sustainability, environmental care, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.

Now, we spend our time tending to our bees and creating simple, handmade products — from golden honey and homemade jams to other bee-inspired goods made with love. It’s our small way of giving back to nature and sharing something sweet and honest with others.

And of course, none of this would be complete without Zoey — our gentle, old-soul, adventure dog, and the true queen bee of our family. 🐝🐾

“It is interesting that the taste of the honey is different based on when the honey was harvested. That is sooo cool.”
